Our prayerful and
meditative reflection – Reflection
on Martin Luther King, Jr. … and the Dream Still Unfolding has been created and will be offered by Mary L. Thomas, CEO – The
Spartanburg County Foundation and Elder – Cornerstone Baptist Church.
As we continue
pondering “Who Is Our Neighbor” and becoming neighbors, we will celebrate Dr.
King’s birthday by revisiting his dream – how far we have come and how far
we’ve yet to go.
A portion of the
offering has been designated for the Mary L. Thomas Award for Civic
Leadership and Community Change – a fund managed by The Spartanburg County
Foundation – recognizing a deserving leader, annually, for leadership involving
critical issues in the Spartanburg community.
